Type of Role: 12 month contract (Opportunity for direct hire)
Schedule: 1st Shift, 9/80 Schedule
Compensation: $57.83/HR

Description: We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience in verification testing of real-time, embedded software. This experience may be gained within a software development organization in a test role or within a Software Quality Assurance organization, depending on the organizational structure.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develop, debug, and execute automated and manual requirements-based software verification tests.
· Use version control and issue tracking tools.
· Integrate and test software with various real-time operating systems, such as Linux/Unix derivatives
· Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, including Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, and Systems.
· Mentor less experienced software test engineers to enhance their software testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
· Work on programs involving the development, maintenance, upgrade, and porting of embedded product software and/or product support software.
· Understand the full software development lifecycle.
· Plan and perform tasks across software requirements analysis, documentation, hardware-software integration, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and software verification testing.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
· Experience in developing, analyzing, and/or reviewing requirements for safety-critical real-time embedded software
· Experience with computer networks, including switches, VLANs, and protocols.
· Experience building and maintaining software and hardware integration testbeds (cabling, power supply).
· Experience in testing and troubleshooting communication protocol software (CAN, Serial, Ethernet).
