Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Software Engineer in Midland, TX. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Data & Analytics, the Software Engineer will be an integrated member of the Data & Analytics Team responsible for providing database support to all the business teams at Permian Resources.
General Responsibilities
- Help implement, develop and support Databricks
- Help maintain, test, and improve our existing and new SQL databases & data warehouse
- Work with vendors on API integrations, system issues, database refreshes and more
- Help with performance optimization techniques that allow quick and seamless connectivity for the business users
- Design data models that ensure data consistency and integrity
- Work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer
- BS/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
- Proficient knowledge working with hosted data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake
- Proficient knowledge of SQL and other languages
- Proficient knowledge of modern object-oriented programming languages, Java/C++/Python
- Experience maintaining APIs that facilitate communication between systems
- Must be self-motivated and capable of independently integrating within multi-disciplinary teams
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
