We currently have a role available for a Scientific Software Engineer who has worked in a dynamic startup environment, is flexible to working in a contract role, enjoys stretching outside of their comfort zone, thrives on new challenges, and can make technology solutions work for business challenges.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide vision, ownership, and subject matter expertise to the implementation and operation of manufacturing technology solutions.
- Partner with business functions to define requirements, develop justifications, and ensure effective implementation of IT solutions.
- Drive the standardization of IT solutions across the portfolio.
- Proactively implement business and technology innovations to enable achievement of business strategy.
- Build strategic partnerships with key technology vendors and service providers to implement and support systems.
- Manage stakeholder satisfaction with IT services; includes educating our stakeholders on IT fundamentals, realities, and challenges.
- Managing or participating in large software development and/or data management projects.
- Experience with and understanding of the following:
- Microsoft and Cisco products and integration across associated components.
- Networks, VM’s, Windows O/S, on and off-prem solutions.
- Data Historians: SQL Server, Oracle, PI, IP-21, or any other RDBMS.
- Active Directory, NTFS, VMware, ESXi.
- Expertise in one or more: SQL, Java, Python, C++, C#, HTML, XML, Javascript, .NET.
- Prior experience with PLC, DCS, SCADA, MES, or LIMS would be preferred.
Job requirements include, but are not limited to:
- BS-Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent with 5+ years working with integrating manufacturing, equipment, facilities, and utilities systems to Enterprise applications in the life sciences domain. MS with 3+ years of experience outside of academia will also be considered.
- Must have GDP and/or GLP experience.

- Personal leadership qualities that inspire trust, respect, credibility, and confidence in peers, colleagues, and management.
- Exceptional customer service orientation with a focus on collaboration and flexibility when working with both external and internal stakeholders while effectively influencing senior stakeholders with diplomacy.
- A firm grasp of emerging network technologies, platforms, applications with knowledge in information security tools.
- Proficient in remote access and single sign on methodologies and tools.
