Job Introduction
Software Lead Engineer Automotive Radar is responsible for the complete software development for advanced driver assistance radar system control modules for different applications, like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Emergency Warning and Braking, Cross Traffic Alert, etc.
Major Responsibilities
• Manage all software activities by establishing, maintaining, and tracking software project plan
• Establish complete software development process for radar in all aspects (starting from algorithmic concept, first implementation, embedding, and testing)
• Evaluate customer specifications and translate these into a radar software platform architecture
• Establish the radar software architecture together with software architect and algorithm team
• Support customer presentations, interface with OEMs on requirements and algorithmic topics, in all project phases from quoting to production
• Evaluating internal and external engineering design change requests
Primary Skills:
Work Experience
• Minimum 5 year experience in radar data processing / algorithm development, preferably in automotive industry
• Radar fundamentals (FMCW, PMCW, MIMO, etc.)
• Object detection, tracking & classification
• Multipath cancelation
• Clutter removal
• Trajectory estimation
• Software and algorithm development in Matlab, C, C++ or equivalent
Skills and Competencies
• Requirements engineering/management process
• Requirements management tools such as DOORS
• FMEA methods and tools (such as APIS IQ FMEA)
