DescriptionThe Senior Cloud Software Engineer is responsible for using various backend technologies, including NodeJS, Python, Azure, and AWS cloud-native services. This role will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers to build what’s next for Rheem Connected products and will be building new capabilities in the RheemConnect.
This position will serve our Enterprise Division, located in Roswell, GA (Hybrid)
Responsibilities
- Work in the Full stack and build highly scalable solutions that enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and creative teams to design, build and test
- Engage in architecture design, review, and cross-functional team knowledge transfers.
- Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards of code quality and thoughtful design
- Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company
- Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
- Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix, and document problems, and implement preventive measures
- Participate in all aspects of the software development life cycle, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
- Work with on-shore and off-shore developers on implementing solutions that are not only resilient but cost-effective

Qualifications
- An innovative, solution-first spirit and an ability to think creatively.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree.
- Proven track record of building highly performant, scalable applications in the Cloud
- Ability to understand requirements in the ambiguous problem space
- Knowledge of the latest development trends
- Strong command of Python, React, TypeScript, and AWS cloud-native software services.
- 5+ years of experience with at least one of the following Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, Azure, others
- 5+ years of experience designing and building solutions utilizing various Cloud services such as EC2, S3, SSM, EMR, Kinesis, RDS, Redshift/Spectrum, Lambda, Glue, Athena, API gateway, etc.
- Experience and desire to automate all the things.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment.
- Passionate about building and owning innovative, customer-facing services/products.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and in-depth knowledge of relevant software such as MS Office Suite.
Preferred Qualification and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- HVAC / Water Heating industry experience preferred.
- IoT experience is preferred.
