The Work Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks. The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
As the DevSecOps Engineer, you will:
• Develop Infrastructure as Code scripts in Terraform and Helm to provision cloud resources.
• Deploy and maintain applications on Kubernetes clusters.
• Configure and maintain developer instances and development environment. Configure and maintain DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline tools.
• Work closely with the Software team to ensure that various cloud infrastructure platforms are developed and operational.
• Work with a team of DevSecOps Engineers to develop and maintain a software cloud virtualization stack with Microsoft Azure.
• Attend daily agile scrum meetings
• Work independently on software stories that include application development, software development, vendor calls with Microsoft, and maintaining a PaaS (Platform as a Service)
• Report to the GNI execution lead on the status of JIRA stories, any outstanding blockers, concerns, or dependencies
• Report metrics to the GNI SW team & GWS and GNI leadership
• Work in both classified and unclassified software environments
• Willing to travel to customer site weekly
• Willing to travel to other classified labs to perform work
Due to the nature of the role, this is not being offered as a teleworking or hybrid position.
This position requires an Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

• Applicant must possess recent GWS program experience
• Applicant must possess and maintain an active U.S. Government security clearance at the DoD secret level
• Must have a DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification (ex: Security + CE)
• Experience with software development (i.e., Java/JavaScript, C++, C#, or any modern object-oriented language) and its life cycle
• Experience with build tools and/or continuous integration environments (i.e., Jenkins)
• Experience with Linux-based systems
• Eager to expand knowledge and continually improve
• Experience with concepts such as micro services (including scalability best practices), containers, and container orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Virtualized Environments, including: architecture, creation, deployment, and management of VMs
• Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (Confluence, JIRA)
Desired skills• Experience with automation/configuration management
• Experience with developing formal builds within the DoD industry
• Adept in workloads with high-performance requirements and developing efficiencies, i.e., digital transformation

Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Pay Rate:The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $105,000 - $201,100. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
