About the role:
The Full Stack Engineer role is responsible for development and delivery of the FIS Platform consisting of the platform core, enabling interfaces or as-a-service offerings. We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Full Stack Engineer to join our financial services team with as-a-service experience. As a Full Stack Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that operate on both the front-end and back-end of a web or mobile application. You will be working with a team of developers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that meet business requirements.
What you will be doing:
This role is highly challenging, yet satisfying, and provides a fantastic opportunity to lead the platform journey at FIS:
- Develop and implement software applications and services including front-end user interface, APIs, and back-end systems
- Develop and integrate APIs for third-party services and internal systems.
- Develop and integrate both simulated (for example Parasoft) and live service endpoints
- Ensure the security and scalability of applications through proper architecture and design.
- Collaborate with other developers, designers, and stakeholders to ensure that applications meet business requirements.
- Write and maintain technical documentation for applications and systems.
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues and work with other developers to resolve issues.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure that applications remain relevant and effective.
What you will need:
- Curiosity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and complexities
- 5 years of experience with minimum of 3 years of in financial services
- Significant knowledge of software development and delivery pipelines, software testing, databases and technical documentation.
- Experience with agile and scrum methodologies and DevOps environments with high degree of automation of CI/CD pipelines, build promotions and code quality testing
- Be able to architect solutions using industry standard methodologies
- Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud
- Preferably having presence in industry network. Be on the forefront of interactive technologies
- Familiar with agile and scrum methodologies
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in an organized, professional manner and team management
- Expert knowledge of Microservices Architecture and design, REST APIs, Security, Testing, and deployments in high throughput environments
- Advanced knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, TypeScript, NodeJS, NestJS, and Material design.
- Familiarity with monorepo based development toolsets such as Nx.
- Expertise in developing Reactive Microservices using frameworks, like Akka
- Hands-on expertise of common industry frameworks like Spring Boot and Cloud, Rabbit MQ or Kafka, API Gateways
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to present to all levels of the organization
Educational requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Post-graduate education preferred
Added bonus if you have:
- Experience in financial services and fast paced innovation team highly desirable
- Knowledge of FIS’ products and services.
- Knowledge of financial services industry or FinTech's.
- Mobile development using Android/iOS.

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $96,170.00 - $161,570.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
