Our client is seeking highly adept Software Engineers to build and scale it's rapidly evolving Carrier Class Packet Networking portfolio. We are interested in engineers who are passionate about networking and have an aptitude for building highly scalable distributed systems. An ideal candidate is someone who can think outside the box and not be restricted by conventional ideas or solutions, while providing a balance between engineering and business needs. Over a period of time, you will have the opportunity of working in a wide range of areas spanning networking and OAM protocols, Carrier Grade infrastructure, high availability, performance and data path software.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
-Participate in and occasionally lead the design, development, validation and defect resolution of customer focused Carrier Class solutions (performance, scale, high availability, etc.)
-Work closely with cross functional groups to translate market requirements into functional specifications and design documents
-Be an effective contributor in technical discussions and influence peer team(s) towards good and effective software and design practices
-Interact with and build relationships in a peer and cross functional environment to facilitate effective collaboration
-Serve as a technical reviewer of software and documentation, towards product development across software releases
-Participate in early product demonstrations to customers
Required Skills
-Proficient in networking concepts and in C/C++ development in an RTOS environment
-Strong and effective software design principles with demonstrable results
-Excellent analytical and problem solving skills in the diagnosis and resolution of customer issues
-Demonstrable proficiency in IP or MPLS OAM (BFD, AIS, etc.) solutions
-Demonstrable) knowledge of High Availability, performance and scale related software solutions
-Proficient in software optimizations in a data networking domain, Proficiency in Carrier Class solutions is a big advantage.
-Demonstrable self-initiative and “can do” attitude to find and implement the best solutions for customers
-Effective verbal and written communication skills
