Job Title: Lead Cybersecurity Consultant
Location: Remote (with minimal travel required)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in build and managing cybersecurity programs, ideally for multiple organizations. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong technical and program management skills and broad experience across various cybersecurity disciplines. As a customer-facing position, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. This is a remote role, with occasional travel to customer sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cybersecurity program development and management engagements for multiple customers, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Work closely with customers to assess their cybersecurity needs, develop strategies, and implement comprehensive cybersecurity solutions tailored to their unique environments.
- Provide expert guidance on a wide range of cybersecurity topics, including but not limited to network security, endpoint protection, cloud security, identity and access management, incident response, and threat intelligence.
- Manage, consult, and advise on risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration tests to identify potential security weaknesses and recommend actionable remediation strategies.
- Manage the development and delivery cybersecurity awareness training and educational programs for client stakeholders at all organizational levels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to design, develop, and implement security policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risk and enhance the security posture of customer organizations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, building strong, long-term relationships and acting as a trusted advisor on cybersecurity matters.
- Stay current on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies, and apply this knowledge to improve customer security environments.
- Prepare and present detailed reports, documentation, and presentations to customers, effectively communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior consultants, engineers, analysts, and other team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the cybersecurity field, with a strong background in both technical and program management roles.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cybersecurity program development and management engagements, with a focus on delivering high-impact results.
- Broad expertise across various cybersecurity disciplines, including network security, endpoint security, cloud security, threat intelligence, incident response, identity and access management, and compliance.
- Strong technical skills, with hands-on experience in security technologies such as SIEM, IPS, XDR, SOAR, network security platforms, endpoint protection platforms, and cloud security tools such as CNAPP.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective delivery of cybersecurity services.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior stakeholders and technical teams.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, GIAC, or equivalent) are highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to client sites as needed.
