What You Will Be Doing
- Design and uphold IAM frameworks and policies to manage client and user access to City of Oxnard services, covering authentication, authorization, and auditing.
- Focus on IAM and PAM for secure, efficient identity access operations, including Active Directory management for user authentication and authorization.
- Implement and sustain SSO, MFA, and other access controls, ensuring data protection from unauthorized access, misuse, disclosure, or loss.
- Work closely with IT and cybersecurity teams to integrate IAM with existing systems, enforce ‘least privilege’ principles, and establish MFA, location-based restrictions, logging strategies, and policies.
- Develop IAM security architecture to ensure robust security standards across new and existing systems.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a similar field.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in IAM roles with a strong background in managing complex access systems.
- In-depth knowledge of authentication protocols like SAML, Kerberos, and LDAP.
- Solid technical expertise in Active Directory, Azure AD, MFA, and SSO.
- Practical experience in network engineering; network architecture experience is a plus.
