Tier 1/2 Systems Administrator
Requires: TS/SCI Clearance
CompTIA Security+ Certification
This position is 100% on-site at Fort Meade, Md.
Hours are 5am to 1pm, Monday through Friday
Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) support.
- Provide technical support via phone calls, tickets, and direct customer interaction.
- Troubleshoot customer desktop hardware and application issues.
- Create and maintain user accounts.
- Assist customers with application configurations.
- Work directly with vendor support where needed.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working help desk tickets: engage customer, investigate issues, and communicate status and resolution to the customer.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, communicate well (written and verbal), solve problems, think critically, adapt, be flexible, manage time, and prioritize tasks.
- Experience with ticketing applications such as Remedy or SolarWinds Web Help Desk.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Active Directory Users and Computers
- Basic network configuration and troubleshooting skills
- User accounts: How to manage user accounts and permissions
- Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) experience
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or 3 to 5 years of relevant technical experience.
