Position Summary
We’re looking for a Director/Senior Director of Sales (VP Potential) who is ready to dive in and make a significant impact. This role offers the opportunity for elevation to Vice President of Sales for the right candidate based on their experience and leadership capabilities.
This position is ideal for a hands-on, resourceful, and driven individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is eager to grow with us. As a key member of our team, you will oversee our sales efforts, focusing on major US accounts like Amazon and Walmart. You’ll be instrumental in developing and executing our sales strategy, cultivating strong relationships with retailers, and collaborating closely with product development and marketing to ensure our innovative toys reach children everywhere. In our small but fast-growing company, adaptability and a proactive mindset are essential to your success.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Strategy:
Develop and execute a sales strategy that drives revenue growth across all retail channels, with a focus on key accounts like Amazon, Walmart, and other major US retailers.
Retail Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with retailers and rep groups, understanding their unique distribution strategies and individual needs to effectively align with product development and pricing strategies.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, product development, and supply chain teams to coordinate product launches, promotions, and sales initiatives in a collaborative environment.
Market Expansion:
Identify new market opportunities and drive product expansion into new categories and regions. Be resourceful in finding creative solutions to complex challenges.
Sales Performance & Metrics:
· Establish and monitor KPIs, analyze sales performance, and make data-driven recommendations to optimize processes and increase sales.
· Report regularly to senior leadership on sales performance and key metrics, providing actionable insights to guide strategy and decision-making.
Hands-On Leadership:
Be ready to dive in and get involved with all aspects of the sales process, from high-level strategy to day-to-day execution. You’ll be a key player who’s not afraid to roll up your sleeves and make things happen.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a business-related field.
Experience:
- 7-10 years of experience in sales, with a strong background in consumer goods (experience in the toy industry is key).
- Experience managing key accounts like Amazon, Walmart, and other major retailers and rep groups.
- Proven track record of being hands-on, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
