Surveillance & Access Control Technician

MUST:
Experienced Surveillance & Access Control Technician
3-5 years of related industry experience
One or more of the following certifications required:
COMPTIA A+, Network+, SQL, COMPTIA Linux +, MCP, Windows Server, LINUX, or Cisco.
Valid driver’s license required
Associates degree required supplemented with 3-5 years of related industry experience.
DUTIES:
Diagnoses equipment failures with computers, networks, and associated systems for the purpose of identifying needed repairs and/or ensuring equipment is in proper working order.
Install computer hardware, network switches, routers, peripherals, security equipment, cameras, application software, etc. for the purpose of providing a complete functional system tailored to a customer’s needs and overall specific site parameters.
Troubleshoot and repair low voltage system building wiring.
Install, maintain, configure, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network related problems associated with Microsoft and Linux based operating systems.
Work with clients’ IT departments to interface computer-based solutions offered by employer.
Interface with vendors and manufacturer’s representatives to resolve operating systems issues. Analyze bugs in system and application software: research and test possible solutions; implement solutions.
Write scripts, files, and programs utilizing numerous application programs to enhance, and provide proper end user results as required for a completely functional system.
Physically able to climb overhead or crawl under spaces to complete jobs.
Must be willing to work at heights.
Must be able to operate electrical tools.
Must be able to differentiate color coding of cables.
Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times
