SOSi is currently seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team in Reston, VA. This role is pivotal in accelerating the adoption of cloud technologies across enterprise services, and customer-facing production workloads. The ideal candidate has a strong background in information technology, and infrastructure of, on-premise, Azure/M365 environments, and Oracle Apex/OCI.
- Drive Cloud Adoption: Perform a key role in the strategy and execution for cloud adoption across SOSi enterprise and customer facing services. This includes ensuring seamless integration and operation of production workloads in Azure, AWS, GCP, and OCI.
- Evolve Office 365 and Azure Services: Take on a crucial role in the configuration and management of Office 365 services and Azure resources, ensuring optimal performance and security servicing a global team.
- Evolve Systems and Infrastructure: Install, configure, maintain, and modernize physical and virtual servers, ensuring they meet functional specifications and perform optimally. Monitor and adjust the performance of existing servers and plan for future capacity requirements.
- Deliver Trusted Services: Augment the SOSi security engineering team to implement and manage security measures, conduct data backups, and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Optimize Service Delivery: Monitor system health and performance, analyze metrics, and optimize resource utilization to enhance operational efficiency. Use scripting tools like PowerShell and Azure Automation to automate tasks and processes, reducing manual workloads. Monitor and manage costs associated with cloud services, optimizing resource usage and cost through effective strategies. Plan for future capacity requirements and perform routine audits to optimize the infrastructure.
- Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with SOSi senior leadership, IT services team, security teams, supporting functional areas, and numerous internal customers, providing training and support as needed.
- System Security: Implement and manage security measures such as identity and access management, threat protection, and information protection across both platforms. Ensure that the server infrastructure is up to date with the latest security patches and updates. Participate as a key member of the cybersecurity team. Maintain server documentation for server setup, configuration, code changes, and upgrades. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to data security and privacy.
- Automation and Scripting: Automate tasks and processes using PowerShell, Azure Automation, or other scripting tools to increase efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
- Other: Assignments may be broad in nature, requiring originality and innovation in determining how to accomplish tasks. Contributes to deliverables and performance metrics where applicable. Ability to find/create solutions to resolve technical challenges.
- Current active, in-scope DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years proven experience with Office 365, Windows/Linux Server environments, Active Directory, VMWare and network infrastructure.
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
