Cyber Security Relationship Manager
Chicago based – Hybrid working
$150,000 - $180.000 basic salary depending on experience
Excellent benefits package + Incentive pay / bonus pay
The Client:
You will be joining a very well-known and respected leader in the Cyber Security Incident Response, Cyber Insurance and Breach firm world.
My client have excellent working relationships with various different law enforcement agencies, DFIR firms and global cyber insurers.
This is a fast growing section of cyber, my client are one of the leaders in this space and are making this hire due to growth plans.
The Role:
- This position needs a dynamic, consultative seller.
- We need excellent relationship management skills.
- This role will be a split between managing and improving on existing relationships as well as selling into and winning new customers for the firm.
- The success and achievements of this hire will be recognized across the business – this role reports into one of the Senior leaders so this hire will receive great support and full backing to succeed.
- This is a self-starter role – you will need to be self-motivated and driven to succeed, you will be backed and supported but we need someone who can make an impact quickly and be a real self-starter who wants to get on with it and make an impact ASAP.
- You will be using your experience in the Cyber Security Incident Response, Breach Response / DFIR space to work with existing customers to improve on existing relationships and services being sold and used at the moment and at the same time be able to win new customers.
- This hire will need to be someone who has previously been able to expand a brands reputation and has worked in a relationship management / account management and sales role in Cyber security.
- Identify & improve on existing relationships with key customers.
- Partner with DFIR, Digital Forensic Incident Response Firms, breach counsel law firms and Cyber insurance carriers.
- Drive sales
- Lead generation
- Create intros in the incident response industry.
- Build Strategic sales plans.
- Work and collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing & tech teams.
- Be ahead of Cyber Security industry trends, market reports, analysis and competitive landscape info.
- Promote services.
- Work with management to establish and execute a cutting-edge consulting practice.
Experience Needed:
- We need an excellent relationship manager who can sell, win new business and account manage simultaneously.
- For this new role you will have a good understanding of how the Cyber Security Incident Response DFIR market works. You will know who the major DFIR and Breach Response firms are.
- You will know how to win new business with DFIR digital forensics incident response firms, breach counsel law firms, and cyber insurance carriers.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred for this hire.
- Around 5 years of proven experience in cybersecurity business development and/or account management, with a focus on Incident Response, DFIR.
- Have a network of contacts and established relationships within DFIR digital forensics incident response firms, breach counsel law firms, and cyber insurance carriers.
- Understand this market, have a good understanding of the post breach lifecycle
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be an excellent negotiator.
- Have excellent presentation skills.
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Be driven and motivated to push this brand presence and service line forward, want to win and be successful in sales and upselling / account management.
