Job Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for managing and optimizing the daily operations of the radiology practice. This role is focused on designing and implementing strategies to enhance operational efficiency, ensure financial sustainability, and deliver exceptional patient care. The COO collaborates closely with the CEO and Board of Directors to meet the practice's objectives, while ensuring strict adherence to healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement operational strategies that are aligned with the practice’s financial targets and growth objectives.
- Direct and manage physician scheduling, ensuring seamless and efficient day-to-day operations to include ad hoc project management.
- Oversee revenue cycle management activities and outsourced relationship, closely monitoring performance metrics and optimizing measures to enhance profitability.
- Negotiate payor contracts and create a corporate contract data repository within existing technology platform to manage corporate contract renewals.
- Supervise the integration and optimization of technology and information systems, ensuring they support efficient operations and data security.
- Coordinate and optimize workflow processes to maximize patient throughput and minimize delays.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and professional development.
- Proactively address patient concerns, ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality care and service excellence.

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in healthcare management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, preferably within radiology or a related specialty.
- Proven track record of managing operations, achieving financial targets, and ensuring compliance in a healthcare setting.
