About the Executive Agility Lead:
Are you ready to lead the charge in transforming how our leadership team thinks and operates? As the Executive Agility Lead at MetroStar, you won’t just be a part of the change—you’ll drive it. In this role, you’ll be the catalyst that propels our executive team towards a future where agility isn’t just a buzzword, but a way of life. You’ll work hand-in-hand with senior leaders, crafting strategies that break down barriers, accelerate decision-making, and ensure we stay ahead of the curve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Agility:
- Understands the broader business strategy swiftly and translates it into actionable plans for the executive team.
- Aligns the goals of various departments to ensure cohesive and agile execution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Facilitates communication and collaboration across the executive team, breaking down silos and ensuring transparency.
- Manages cross-departmental projects and initiatives, keeping them on track and aligned with company objectives.
- Execution Mastery:
- Utilizes broad project management skills (agile methodologies) to drive swift and efficient execution of strategic initiatives.
- Focuses on accountability, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities, and that deliverables are met on time.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Commits to fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the executive team, regularly assessing processes and making necessary adjustments.
- Encourages innovation and out-of-the-box thinking to solve complex problems and stay ahead in a rapidly evolving tech-enabled environment (AI/ML, DevSecOps, Application Modernization) across Government.
- Leadership and Influence:
- Possesses strong leadership qualities with the ability to influence without direct authority, aligning all executives towards common goals.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence and effectively navigates and unifies big leadership personalities with confidence and empathy
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Organizational Psychology, or a related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in agile development, with at least 2 years in a leadership role with agile teams
- Expertise: Deep understanding of agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe, with a proven track record of successful agile implementation
- Leadership: Strong leadership and consultative skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at the highest levels of an organization
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and inspiring senior leaders and stakeholders
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and deliver effective solutions
- Certifications: Agile certifications (e.g., Certified Agile Coach, SAFe Program Consultant)
- Work Location: This position is 5 days per week in our Reston, VA office
