Position Overview:
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Senior Vice President of Sales to lead our business development vision and drive revenue growth. This executive role will develop and implement comprehensive strategies and processes to enhance sales, expand markets, The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in military or government sales and business development, with a strong focus on identifying new opportunities within the technology or aerospace sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Develop and lead the overall business development vision, strategy, and plans to drive sales, increase revenue, and expand market presence.
- Strategic Partnerships: Cultivate and manage strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, including clients, distributors, and technology partners, to enhance market positioning and drive collaborative growth opportunities.
- Market Evaluation: Identify and evaluate new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Conduct research and analysis of the business environment, competitors, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
- Networking and Relationships: Develop a wide network of contacts to stay informed about current and future industry trends and market actions.
- Innovation: Generate ideas for new products, services, pricing strategies, and business models based on thorough market analysis.
- Financial Oversight: Direct financial feasibility studies, oversee the development of proposals, and lead negotiations for new business opportunities.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support and align business development plans.
- Leadership: Execute high-impact initiatives that align with corporate vision and strategy, establishing direction and focus for the organization.
- Team Development: Mentor and guide the commercial team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Chief Commercial Officer, Vice President of Sales, or in a similar top-level management role, ideally in the technology or aerospace industry.
- Strong track record of developing and executing successful business development strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion.
- Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and financial acumen.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate diverse teams.
- Experience in conducting market research and developing strategic partnerships.
