Join our team as a Cybersecurity Coordinator and play a pivotal role in safeguarding Maine's digital infrastructure. As a Business SME, you'll collaborate with local governments and statewide partners to enhance cybersecurity awareness, readiness, and best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver educational materials, workshops, and outreach programs tailored to various cybersecurity levels.
- Coordinate statewide cybersecurity efforts to ensure alignment and collaboration among stakeholders.
- Advocate for and promote the adoption of cybersecurity best practices, leveraging resources like the State and Local Cybersecurity Grant Program (SLCGP).
- Identify gaps in cybersecurity resources and propose strategic solutions to enhance local government posture.
- Lead strategic planning and foster collaborative relationships with federal partners, state agencies, local governments, industry associations, and community groups.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in strategic planning, project management, or coordination of large-scale initiatives, ideally with a focus on cybersecurity or public sector projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable.
- Experience with federal programs, particularly in managing or working with federal grants or funding programs related to cybersecurity.
