Job Description:
As an IT Security Administrator (ISA), you will be responsible for administering access controls and managing physical security across Client facilities and various entities. This role involves maintaining security policies, monitoring alerts, investigating potential threats, and supporting incident management. You will also assist with vulnerability assessments, compliance audits, and provide security expertise to Client Service Desk and customer departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer access controls on mainframes for client wide users, contractors, and vendors.
- Manage physical security for Client facilities, including proprietary administration and surveillance monitoring.
- Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM systems, perform initial triage, and investigate suspicious activities.
- Contain threats and document incidents, preparing reports on cybersecurity trends for stakeholders.
- Support client Information Security Officers with troubleshooting and problem resolution.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with compliance audits.
- Provide 2nd level support to the Client Service Desk on security-related issues.
- Collaborate with the larger security team to maintain organizational security posture.
- Continuously learn to stay updated on cybersecurity trends and best practices.
Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:
- Strong experience in administering access controls and managing security for mainframes.
- Proficiency in SIEM systems and incident response.
- Experience in physical security administration and surveillance monitoring.
- Knowledge of security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
- Ability to conduct vulnerability assessments and assist with compliance audits.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a larger security team.
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends.
The hourly range for roles of this nature are $40.00 to $80.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
