Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Cybersecurity Analyst with a strong IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) background to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for a range of tasks, from proactive monitoring and maintenance to reactive incident response and reporting. Responsibilities:
- Gather and analyze IT KPIs: Collect and interpret key performance indicators to assess the health and efficiency of clients' IT environments.
- Drive IT Security initiatives: Implement and manage security measures, including endpoint protection, firewall management, vulnerability assessments, and security awareness training.
- Execute repeatable tasks: Perform routine security tasks such as patch management, log monitoring, and security audits.
- Create monthly reports: Generate comprehensive reports on security posture, incident response, and overall IT performance for clients.
- Ensure backups are taken: Verify the integrity and effectiveness of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Review user accounts and access controls: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights to ensure least privilege and prevent unauthorized access.
- Stay up-to-date on security threats and vulnerabilities: Continuously research and remain informed about emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and security best practices.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients: Work closely with other team members and clients to address security concerns and provide technical support.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience: Minimum 2 years of experience working in an IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Strong technical skills: Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, networking concepts, and common operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS).
- Security knowledge: Familiarity with security best practices, frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001), and security tools.
- Excellent communication skills: Ability to clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Problem-solving aptitude: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address security issues.
- Organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
