IT ADMINISTRATOR
REPORTS TO: INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OFFICER
The employee will provide front-line primary technical support to end users on various technical issues and problems relating to hardware, software, and peripherals.
They will be responsible for responding to, documenting, and resolving service issues in a timely manner. The Administrator must have excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve complex problem situations, or when appropriate, escalate or route them to appropriate IT staff members, vendors, or contract technical engineers.
They will perform root cause analysis, develop checklists for typical problems and recommend procedures and controls for problem prevention. This position may require independent work, sharing information and assisting others with technical recommendations. Technical and/or elevated priority issues may result in occasional extended hours and after-hour tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service in person, via phone and email as appropriate.
- Resolve help desk issues including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Perform administration duties including report creation and analysis, system monitoring.
- Support of operations by creating, editing, and distributing IT-related documents.
- Performs all other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Expectations:

- Experience working in an end-user desktop support role or computer operations environment.
- Well versed in technical support for Microsoft Office, Servers, Windows OS.
- Active Directory Administration Experience
- General knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) implementing and determining effects.
- Well versed in Patch management.
- Advanced printer / peripheral device troubleshooting
- TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP networking comprehension.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work pressure and interruptions occur regularly. Project implementation responsibilities, daily tasks, and problem resolution activities must be prioritized and managed effectively and efficiently. Involves ongoing exposure to constantly changing physical and ergonomic environments. Ability to respond quickly to emergencies and special user requests in a dynamic, networked environment.
- Generally good-minimum discomfort caused by noise, heat, dust, and other causes.
- Safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention. Work is primarily performed indoors with some potential for exposure to safety and health hazards related to electronics work.
- Must periodically travel to other office sites.
- Depending upon assignment, may require ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other offices; the ability to stand, walk and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read technical information.
- Occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Ability to lift and work on equipment that may be in tight or poorly lit spaces.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

- A good understanding of operations in all departments and work areas.
- The ability to operate a variety of automated and standard office equipment.
Minimum Level of Preparation
- Minimum of degree in computer related discipline (Computer Science or Information Technology).
- Relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement on a year-to-year basis.
