Description
- Support LANs, WANs network segments and perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of network resources and systems, and key processes to maintain system efficiency.
- Ensure design of system to allow all components work properly together.
- Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights.
- Analyze and isolate issues.
- Make recommendations for future upgrades.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as needed.
- Ensure network connectivity throughout a company's LAN/WAN infrastructure is on par with technical considerations.
- Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.
- Provide analysis on vulnerabilities and supply a resolution plan.
- Interact with the help desk and other teams to aid in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree with a technical major in engineering or computer science.
- Experience: At least four years system administration experience supporting HP, Microsoft (On Prem and Cloud), Cisco, Fortinet, Cloudflare, SentinelOne, VMWare, Citrix, SolarWinds, and Commvault.
- Skills and Key Attributes: Great customer service skills, organized, responsible, dependable, hardworking, and a self-starter. Must have the ability to judge and attend to problems in an accurate manner. Must also apply knowledge efficiently and have a strong aptitude to learn and apply new knowledge and communicate challenges and vision in an effective manner.
- Physical Requirements: Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends and, in most cases, can be scheduled in advance. Opportunities to travel to remote sites in the US as well as Canada and Mexico.
