Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding the organization's digital assets and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of sensitive information. They are responsible for detecting and responding to security incidents, conducting risk assessments, and implementing security measures to protect against potential cyber threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security events to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities
- Conduct regular network and system security assessments
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Investigate security breaches and incidents, and recommend appropriate solutions
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of security technologies and tools
- Participate in the design and execution of security awareness training programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security standards and regulations
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments
- Manage and respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CompTIA Security+
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or related field
- Proficiency in network security and firewall management
- Experience with security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP)
- Strong understanding of security regulatory requirements and standards
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of incident response and forensic investigation techniques
- Good understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
