Overview
The Cybersecurity Analyst plays a crucial role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets by implementing security measures and continuously monitoring and analyzing cyber threats. This role is vital in maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information, ensuring compliance with security standards, and minimizing the risk of potential security breaches.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security incidents and cyber threats
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Participate in security audits and compliance assessments
- Detect and respond to security breaches and incidents
- Investigate security incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of IT infrastructure
- Stay updated on the latest security trends, threats, and technologies
- Provide security awareness training to employees
- Assist in the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Contribute to the development of incident response plans
- Assess and mitigate security risks
- Conduct forensic analysis and malware reverse engineering
- Manage and maintain security tools, systems, and technologies
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CISM are preferred
- Proven experience in cybersecurity or a related field
- Strong knowledge of security protocols and standards
- Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and DLP
- Proficiency in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity trends and threats
- Experience with incident response and digital forensics
- Understanding of risk management and mitigation strategies
