Overview:
As our Cloud Infrastructure / Security Engineer, you will work as part of a passionate Core Infrastructure team to ensure every area of our datacenter and cloud networks are dutifully operating and protected. You will wear many hats as systems, network, and cloud security practitioner, utilizing tools and techniques to ensure our security posture is a model of defense-in-depth.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the architecture, design, build and maintenance of our on-premises and cloud infrastructure.
- Drive security improvements in the cloud, datacenter, and office by analyzing the environment against CIS controls, audit requirements, vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and threat intelligence.
- Serves as an Information Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) by maintaining knowledge of industry-recognized security technologies and concepts; actively engage in audits to ensure our compliance is accurate and meaningful.
- Lead incident response efforts and create or enhance process, policies, and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to improve the company’s engineering tools, systems and procedures, and infrastructure security.
- Develop and maintain cloud, datacenter and office infrastructure security design and documentation.
- Develop and maintain network, system and application security monitoring and utilize that in an actionable manner: alerting and automation (scaling).
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ experience as a Network, Systems and/or Security Engineer or equivalent role - must have experience with security and analytics tools from SAST to SIEM.
- Expert technical knowledge in system and network security, authentication/authorization protocols, and cryptography. Hands-on experience in at least two of the above.
- Proven experience with firewalls, load balancers, and core switching.
- Extensive experience with Linux, Microsoft Operating Systems (10/2012/2016/2019), AD, SCCM, SCDPM, VDI, Hyper-V and Failover Clustering.
- Deep experience in securing Windows and Linux, including CIS and STIG frameworks.
- Proven success in Azure design, support, and management within a large-scale organization.
- A track record of success in all major components of AWS, with an emphasis in secure design and operations.
- Expertise in cloud security, covering common standards and practices in AWS and Azure.
- Experience using a scripting language such as Perl, PowerShell, or Python.
- An ability to analyze a platform and recommend changes, remediate issues, and automate.
