We are searching for a skilled individual to take on the role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to help drive the development of our innovative diagnostic solutions. As a growing biotech startup, our goal is to revolutionize the diagnostics landscape by delivering fast, accessible, and accurate solutions to meet critical healthcare needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in biochemistry, with a deep understanding of biochemical reactions, purification processes (HPLC), and maintaining impeccable lab protocols.
As CTO, you will collaborate closely with our leadership team to develop and execute key R&D initiatives. You will ensure that all lab operations are performed with precision, accuracy, and the highest standards of safety and cleanliness. The candidate should be skilled in managing lab environments, overseeing experiments, and maintaining equipment to guarantee optimal performance.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the design and execution of biochemical experiments, ensuring precision and accuracy in all lab procedures.
- Lead the development and optimization of biochemical reactions, including purification processes and assay development.
- Ensure strict adherence to laboratory safety protocols and maintain high standards of within the lab environment.
- Collaborate within a team to drive R&D initiatives and provide technical expertise on biochemical processes.
- Analyze data, interpret results, and present findings to the team, offering insights for further development.
- Maintain detailed lab records and documentation for compliance and reproducibility of experimental work.
- Mentor junior lab staff and foster an environment of continuous learning and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Chemistry, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in a biochemical lab setting.
- Master’s/PhD degree in a related field with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a biochemical lab setting (preferred).
- Proficient in biochemical reaction techniques.
- Proficient in High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) techniques.
- Strong understanding and practical experience with biochemical reactions and purification processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of laboratory best practices, including safety protocols and lab equipment maintenance.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
