Director of Information Technology
Job Summary
The Director of IT is responsible for overseeing the technology operations of the company, ensuring that IT systems and tools support business goals. This role involves leading the IT department and managing the IT budget. Oversee and further develop our technology infrastructure, and implement IT processes and initiatives that align to drive efficiency, growth and modernization. The Director of IT collaborates with other departments to identify technology solutions and enhance business performance. The ideal candidate is a self-starting manager with dynamic energy and resourcefulness, stays current with the latest technologies, and will proactively drive new initiatives.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Overseeing all IT operations including staff and infrastructure, ensuring uptime for mission-critical resources and safeguard our IT and digital assets with proper cybersecurity policies and disaster recovery plans
- Evaluate, develop and implement IT projects such as software development, system upgrades, network/infrastructure improvements and IT process development, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope and on budget and in line with organizational objectives
- Champion IT’s participation to support and advance other departments’ goals and objectives, such as report creation, data compliance and hardware procurement
- Continuously seek out improvements, upgrades and other changes necessary for the company to remain cost effective, yet scalable with growth
- Propose strategic solutions and recommend new systems and software, and identify new leading-edge technologies that can further evolve our company’s growth profile and competitiveness
- Manage and mentor employees in the IT department and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Preparing IT department financial budgets and performance reports
- Maintain and optimize the ERP system to ensure the system aligns with and improves business and supply chain processes
- Work with the Finance department to ensure accurate integration between IT/ERP software and accounting financial reporting activities
- Build and maintain relationships with external advisors and vendors
- Ensure reported issues are resolved in a timely manner
- Promote company policies and participate in required company-wide programs as directed
- Perform any other projects as needed and assigned by the senior management team
- Follow all established safety procedures and guidelines at all times
Competencies / Personal Characteristics
- Travel to all Ultra PRO sites to perform any IT network buildout and maintenance projects
- Attend meetings & events at Ultra PRO’s Commerce office or other locations as needed
- Set up monitoring procedures to ensure IT support is extended to all Ultra PRO sites
- Adheres to a strong commitment to higher quality and performance
- Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills; both written and verbal
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally while interfacing with cross functional departments and with all levels of personnel company wide

Education/Experience Requisites
- Degree in computer science or a related field required, Master's degree preferred
- 10+ years of management experience in an IT environment, with 5+ years in a leadership role
- Sound working knowledge of IT operations, systems, and developments
- Strong leadership and project management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
