Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Cloud Engineer at Cyble Inc. in Cupertino, CA. As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for the architecture, implementation, and management of scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based infrastructure solutions that support the company’s cybersecurity operations and services. You will work closely with cybersecurity teams, DevOps, and engineering to ensure our cloud systems are optimized for performance, reliability, and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Architect Cloud Solutions: Develop and implement cloud architectures (primarily on AWS, Azure, or GCP) that are secure, scalable, and cost-effective to support cybersecurity solutions.
- Cloud Infrastructure Management: Provision, configure, and maintain cloud resources such as VMs, containers, networks, storage, and databases.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure the cloud environments adhere to industry-standard security practices, including encryption, identity management, and monitoring to meet regulatory compliance (GDPR, SOC 2, etc.).
- Automation and CI/CD: Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible, to automate cloud provisioning, deployment, and management.
- Collaboration with Cybersecurity Teams: Work closely with the cybersecurity team to assess vulnerabilities and design secure cloud solutions that mitigate potential risks and threats.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Set up monitoring tools and dashboards to track performance, security, and availability of cloud systems. Optimize costs and performance through automation and scaling.
- Disaster Recovery and Backup: Design and implement disaster recovery plans, backup strategies, and high-availability solutions to ensure business continuity.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity, and security issues across cloud systems and services.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain detailed cloud infrastructure documentation and create best practices guides for internal teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or related role in cloud infrastructure management.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Strong knowledge of networking in the cloud, including VPNs, VPCs, load balancing, and DNS.
- Hands-on experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices: encryption, firewall management, identity management, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with automation using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) to automate cloud operations.
- Knowledge of cloud monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Google Stackdriver).
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or Google Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with threat intelligence platforms, SIEM, or cybersecurity infrastructure.
- Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
