Position Overview:
- The Application Manager oversees the implementation of software applications, interfaces, training and support in a company's computer systems.
- Responsible for software and systems upgrades.
- This role will act as the CIO backup.
- The Application Manager determines whether the computer systems in the company are sufficient for their business requirements.
- It is the Application Manager's duty to know what business aspects of the company are in need of upgrades.
- This position analyzes the impact of applying data systems to the areas of concern and from there, provides recommendations on whether to upgrade to a different or same system or not.

- Supervises: Applications Specialist, Help Desk Application Specialist, IT Coordinator Technician
Responsibilities:
- Oversees the full systems project management lifecycle for all application areas, including software selection, implementation, support and evaluation.
- Lead HIPAA compliance initiative for all clinical applications.
- Design, test, and implement interface programs, develop security procedures, and regulate usage.
- Performs planning, cost analysis, and all aspects of large-scale IT projects.
- Manages IT participation on project teams for applications acquisition and implementation.
- Manages Help Desk activity and reviews reports on call volume and issues for staff members and makes recommendations for user support.
- Oversees user documentation for all applications, ensuring that vendor documentation is current and that all users have adequate access to documentation.
- Manages the use of departmental applications ensuring that all software is operating with the most current release.
- Responsible for managing the installation and configuration of departmental applications including ongoing upgrades & "fixes”.
- Maintains compliance with disaster recovery procedures.
- Maintains the Children's Village enterprise's application portfolio.
- Performs other functions as directed by the CIO.
- Work in conjunction with CIO to contribute to company short- and long-term technology strategies, objectives and budgetary requirements.
- Improves interdepartmental communication by flowcharting data flow.
- Eliminates redundancy by identifying reporting needs and implementing a standard reporting system.
- Manage and ensure that third party / vendor solutions and development / implementation efforts are in accordance with business requirements and application / platform landscape.
- Improves system capabilities and ensures data integrity.
- Responsible for vendor relations.
- Submits status and training reports monthly.
- Monitors user access and system security.
- Ensures departmental coverage on applications side.
- Performs other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related degree) and relevant years of experience in Information Technology Management.
- 5 - 10 years' experience with applications software, managing technical environments and experience in providing user training and support.
- 5 -10 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Clinical, Financial, ERP, and other systems, desired - Netsmart - Myevolv and eCW Clinicals.
- Knowledge of system design, development, implementation, and user support principles and best practices.
- Experience with database management.
- Familiarity with Project management principles.
- Experience with Information system troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated skill in developing automated business systems.
- Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
- Ability to provide thought leadership and influence.
- Able to lead in a team environment by persuading and proactively influencing strategic decision making and direction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of computer users.
- Proven experience in planning, organizing, and completing projects.
Pay Rate: $60 - $62 / hour
