Company Overview: Work with top-tier inflight catering company, Island Kitchen, that prides itself on providing high quality inflight catering to both passengers and crew in South Florida and Nantucket, Massachusetts. This regional manager role will lead help in the the production and execution of all inflight catering orders out of our Miami, Florida location. In this role you will be responsible for actively managing the front of the house team including but not limited to drivers, expediters, and administrative assistants while working in close communication with our inflight catering director and executive chef to ensure success and completion of every requested inflight order. This position will reward a hard-working and goal-minded individual with a plethora of opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities:
- Leading the inflight catering business out of Miami, Florida. Responsible for managing order inquiry, order execution, delivery, sourcing management, working alongside the culinary team, and managing all scheduling work for Island Kitchen Miami.
- Collaborate with the overarching InFlight Management team on the ways to best operate and gain more market share in the South Florida market.
- The private aviation industry is massively busy around the holiday season and peak days will require an all hands on deck approach and flexibility on having any set schedule is appreciated.
- Manage and leverage relationships with the front and the back of the house teams to create harmony between both elements of the kitchen
- Work closely with other management to ensure that the highest quality product and service is maintained during all periods of time - whether it be the busy or slow season.
- Foster relationships with airpot representatives, FBO operators, and Miami airport service members to maximize the IK InFlight presence in the South Florida market.
- Maintaining the highest level of professionalism and service toward all staff and clients
Qualifications:
- Any familiarity with the in-flight catering space is a large plus.
- Minimum 5+ years hospitality experience required.
- Flexibility in working hours is required. The busiest times of the day are often from 4AM-12PM so the shift times will fluctuate based on demand.
- Experience managing a team upwards of 20 individuals is strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
- Positive attitude
- Fluency in English required, additionally Spanish is preferred.
Compensation:
- Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications between $80,000 - $95,000
- Bonus structure based on key performance metrics
