Job Description: Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for Windows OS client related topics in Client Truck virtual desktop environments. This role ensures that the enterprise virtual environments stay aligned with changes, standards, and global custom corporate tools. This includes the planning, engineering, administration of Windows clients and client infrastructure.
- Responsible for client management in the virtual desktop infrastructure including testing, configuration, implementation, and problem management
- Responsible for client group policy administration - creating, testing and troubleshooting
- Monitors the global corporate announcements including applications, OS changes, and security changes, coordinating with the VDI team as needed to ensure that all changes are evaluated, tested, and successfully implemented in the virtual environments
- Analyzes existing infrastructure and configuration and suggests process improvements and areas of automation
- Serves as Windows client SME to the VDI team for changes, problems, and demand related to the client OS/infrastructure
- Provides application testing and integration support, coordinating with application owners and business stakeholders
- Monitors client health and security compliance
- Create and maintain support documentation
Qualifications
- Candidate should be highly proficient in SCCM and administrating Windows systems in a large enterprise environment.
- Candidate should have experience troubleshooting, creating, and administering Group Policy in a large enterprise environment.
- Candidate should have extensive experience troubleshooting the Windows client OS and application issues
- Candidate should have excellent troubleshooting skills and experience with industry standard tools such as the SysInternals suite
- Candidate should have Powershell experience and be comfortable building automation and data-gathering scripts.
- Candidate should be familiar with IT security best practices and the ITIL framework
- Candidate expected to have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous experience in factory/manufacturing/medical/scientific or other controlled environments a bonus
- 4-6 years of experience managing Windows clients in an enterprise environment.
