Description
We are seeking an innovative and skilled
Infrastructure Engineer III to join our team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, enhancing, and supporting advanced conference room systems, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration across our organization. This role requires a proactive problem-solver with a deep understanding of UC technologies, capable of designing and implementing cutting-edge solutions that elevate productivity and user experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in automation and leveraging APIs to integrate systems and software, creating a cohesive and efficient environment.
Responsibilities - Engineering Solutions:
- Design and implement state-of-the-art audio-visual and IT solutions for conference rooms, incorporating the latest technologies.
- Upgrade existing systems to enhance functionality and performance, ensuring they meet current and future organizational needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, develop tailored solutions, and deliver high-quality implementations.
- Develop and deploy automation solutions to streamline conference room operations and enhance user experience.
- Technical Support and Maintenance:
- Provide expert technical support for conference room systems, including video conferencing and audio-visual equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex UC system issues to ensure minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates on conference room equipment and software, ensuring optimal performance
- Integration and Innovation:
- Leverage APIs to integrate various systems and software, creating a cohesive and efficient UC environment.
- Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for new and existing technologies, ensuring all systems meet quality and performance standards before deployment.
- Identify and resolve bugs, compatibility issues, and performance bottlenecks, continuously improving system reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in UC technologies, recommending and testing improvements.
- Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with internal IT teams and external vendors to implement and optimize UC solutions.
- Conduct user training sessions to ensure employees are proficient in using conference room technologies, enhancing their productivity.
- Document and maintain detailed records of support activities, configurations, and system changes, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Monitoring and Reporting:
- Monitor and manage the performance of UC systems, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Prepare detailed reports on system performance, issues, and improvement recommendations, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an Infrastructure Engineer or in a similar technical role, with a strong focus on engineering, problem-solving, and automation.
- In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure technologies such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Polycom, Logitech, Neat, etc.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, IP telephony, and audio-visual systems.
- Experience with APIs and integrating various systems and software.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Teams Administrator) are a plus.
- Proven experience in developing, implementing, and supporting audio-visual and IT solutions for conference rooms or similar environments.
- Proficiency in creating and following detailed testing plans and documentation.
Pay Rate: $63/h (depending on skills and experience) under a W-2 contract.
