ATL or MSP
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of proven experience as a FinOps engineer, or as a software engineer with significant cost optimizations projects
- 4+ years of experience working with AWS cloud technologies
- Excellent collaboration skills with technical and non-technical partners
- Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for analyzing large volumes of data
- Familiarity with AWS tools such as Cost Explorer, Cost Optimization Hub & Compute Optimizer
- Experience creating visual reports using Power BI or a similar analytics tool
- Data analysis coding/scripting experience with Python, SQL and API Integrations
- Embraces diverse people, thinking and styles
- Consistently makes safety and security, of self and others, the priority
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Experience building QuickSight dashboards
- Proven proficiency developing data-driven insights to support decision making
- Familiarity with third-party cloud cost optimization tools
- Cloud FinOps Automation experience
Responsibilities:
- Manage data and processes in third party and internally developed cost management tools
- Investigate and implement cost-saving measures, including resource optimization and efficient usage practices
- Create and present educational documentation and training materials
- Conduct working sessions with finance, operations, and engineering teams to produce budgets and forecasts
- Provide recommendations on implementing FinOps practices and methodologies
- Collaborate with engineering teams to drive optimization efforts, with an Architecture perspective
- Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports for stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Produce presentations on initiatives, statuses, and other topics as needed
