As a member of the CoreSite Marketing department, the Sales Development Manager will lead a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to maximize sales growth. The role is responsible for their own individual sales quota obtainment and managing the day-to-day operations of the Inside Sales team to ensure an environment where individual and team goals and quotas are consistently met or exceeded.
Duties:
- Meets or exceeds their individual SDR outbound quota for their assigned CoreSite region(s) by executing on various prospecting activities including networking, list building, cold calling, social media selling and cold email campaigns.
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the Inside Sales team including checking and assigning inbound leads, answering questions, providing feedback, holding meetings, creating campaigns, managing platforms, tracking results, training and mentoring.
- Assists in the creation of an inside sales training manual by documenting SDR platforms, systems, processes, best-practices, strategies, SLAs and training timelines. Ensures that the inside sales training manual is continuously updated and easily accessible to all SDRs.
- Provides reports on inside sales performance metrics and suggest improvements, campaigns and strategies to optimize team output for inbound and outbound lead generation and opportunity creation.
- Collaborates with CoreSite's Marketing to leverage approved brand content to create relevant campaigns to specific target audiences
- Collaborates with CoreSite's sales operations team to track results and ensure correct assignment of leads and opportunities based on CoreSite's rules of engagement.
- Works closely with CoreSite's regional sales vice presidents to create and execute targeted regional campaigns to specific target audiences and industry verticals
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Foundational understanding of B2B information technology(IT), cybersecurity, data center, network and/or cloud computing technologies and solutions.
- Background in sales or sales management, ideally experience in an SDR role.
- Knowledge of sales/marketing strategic planning, engagement, and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Must be highly computer literate, including experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
- Understanding of CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.com.
- Must be able to maintain organization, creativity, and professionalism in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
- Self-starter, highly motivated
- Strong presentation skills
Education/Experience:
- College degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent experience in Business, Marketing, or Technology preferred
- Minimum 2 years' experience in inside sales or sales management role
- Minimum 2 years' experience in outbound prospecting and lead generation

Compensation:
Compensation for this role includes a base salary between $80,000 and 90,000 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus and equity, based upon individual and company performance.
