Position Overview
The Venture Capital IT Manager will be responsible for overseeing the IT infrastructure and services within our firm. This role involves managing a range of IT functions, including network administration, cybersecurity, software support, and hardware management. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Infrastructure Management: Oversee and maintain the firm’s IT systems, including networks, servers, and cloud services. Ensure systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.
- Cybersecurity: Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and prevent breaches. Stay updated with the latest security threats and technologies.
- Technical Support: Provide technical support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues. Manage helpdesk tickets and ensure timely resolution of IT problems.
- Vendor Management: Liaise with external IT vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts and manage relationships to ensure quality service and cost-efficiency.
- Project Management: Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, new software implementations, and office relocations. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to achieve project goals.
- Compliance: Ensure IT practices comply with industry regulations and company policies. Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT procedures and systems.
- Budget Management: Assist in developing and managing the IT budget. Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior IT staff. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT management, preferably within a financial or investment environment.
- Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks, and security protocols.
- Proven experience in managing IT projects and working with external vendors.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff.
