Job Description
We’re looking for a
Senior Platform Engineer (DevSecOps) to come help us automate everything, enable our developer teammates, and create and support world-class platforms, and implement modern practical security. This job requires expertise in Kubernetes, IaC, and Security as relates to both. As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be an integral member of the Platform Engineering team, helping the organization transform into a truly modern cloud-native mode of operation. The goal of the Platform Engineering (PE) team is to reduce friction in the delivery process and improve developer experience. Technical prowess, pragmatic strategic understanding, and ability to make compromises working with the stakeholders are the 3 pillars of this job. The Senior Platform Engineer will work closely with the Sr Manager of Platform Engineering, Platform Tech Lead, and Platform Architect to ensure sound technical direction. The Senior Platform Engineer will also work with the Technical Product Owner on their Agil e Platform Engineering team to facilitate delivering the most critical platform features needed for the Product Development Teams.The Senior Platform Engineer will be expected to provide guidance on DevOps practices and tools and Azure cloud resources.
Responsibilities
- Apply a proactive approach toward tasks and communication
- Embrace and evangelize automation, infrastructure as code, policy as code, and developer enablement
- Lead technical implementations leveraging the team architect
- Be a foreperson on the team and a strong presence in collaboration with other teams and leadership.
- Drive forensic troubleshooting and analysis of automation and platform consistency issues
- Proactively ensure the highest levels of system, resource, and infrastructure availability and performance optimization
- Evangelize cloud-native practices and methodologies to delivery teams
- Provide subject matter expertise for all aspects of our technology stack

Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Pl atform Engineering, Software Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Cloud-Native Engineering, DevOps Engineering or Advocacy role
- Expertise with containers and Kubernetes
- Expertise with container security and Kubernetes security
- Experience with opensource security tools
- Experience remediating security vulnerabilities and responding to CVE reported issues
- Experience debugging false positive security reporting
- Experience working on an Agile team using Agile development methodologies
- Experience staying on the forefront of security and advocating best practices to the team and their customers.
- Strong Scripting Experience
- Experience in writing security tests and validations
- Expertise in writing Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code techniques
- Expertise in managing multiple code bases in Git, including trunk-based and environment-based branching
- Expertise in creating Continuous Integration builds and deployment automation, for example, CI/CD Pipelines
- Expertise in building and supporting Cloud Native applications in a major public cloud
- Expertise in implementing observability, application monitoring, and log aggregation solutions
- Expertise working with cross-functional teams to provide Next-Gen Cloud Native solutions
