VP OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY

REPORTS TO: President & CEO
SUPERVISES: Department of nine staff with three direct reports. Department includes senior systems manager (1) supervising data processing (2) and software engineering (3). Information security (1) and systems and audit administration (1).
DESCRIPTION: The VP of IT directs the planning and implementation of enterprise IT systems, network infrastructure, systems security, vendor system support, client system support and custom application development in support of HSG operations. This role is crucial for ensuring that the company's technology infrastructure is robust, scalable, secure, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of information technology and cybersecurity, cloud-based software management, coupled with strong leadership skills to drive innovation and maintain compliance with industry regulations.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with the company’s goals, ensuring that technology initiatives support overall business growth and efficiency.
- Simplify: Simply the IT area through documentation, process control, cross training and selecting the right technology stack.
- Cybersecurity Management: Oversee the information security framework, ensuring robust protection of company data and compliance with all relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
- Infrastructure Oversight: Manage and optimize the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Software Engineering: Manage software engineering, ensuring we are building at high velocity and in accordance with the company vision.
- Cloud Software Management: Oversee the management and security of cloud-based software solutions, including Microsoft 365, ensuring efficient use, data protection, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the company leverages the best available technology solutions.
- Budget Management: Oversee IT budgeting and financial management, optimizing spending while ensuring that investments are made in critical areas.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Develop and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans to ensure operational resilience.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay informed of emerging laws and regulations affecting IT and information security, and ensure the company’s practices are fully compliant.
- SOC 1 and SOC 2 Readiness: Lead efforts to maintain SOC 1 and SOC 2 compliance, working closely with external auditors to ensure successful completion of these reports and other client auditing requirements.
- Innovation & Trends: Keep abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending new tools and practices to enhance operational efficiency.
- Project Management: Lead major IT projects, from conception through implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other executives to align technology initiatives with company objectives, ensuring effective communication between IT and other departments.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
· 15+ years leading a technology team
· 15+ years information security experience
· 10+ years DevOps and agile development experience
· Banking or Accounts Receivable Management industry experience helpful
· SOC audit compliance experience
· Vertican Commercial Legal Software (CLS) Collection Master experience helpful
· Experience managing cloud-based software solutions, specifically Microsoft 365, including security, compliance, and efficient usage.
Education
· Certifications in MCSE: Server Infrastructure preferred.
· Experience with SQL Services, reporting tools, data integration tools and Active Directory preferred.
· University degree in the field of computer science or business administration.

· Experience building and managing IT infrastructure in a fast-paced, dynamic, rapid-growth environment
· Demonstrated leadership in technology, with a successful track record of managing tech teams and executing projects that improve operational efficiencies.
· Experience in developing department/organization budgets and effectively planning and managing activities
· Experience with systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management including excellent understanding of project management and SDLC principles.
· Proven track record in IT strategic planning, communication, implementation and management.
· Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures including the ability to put the right people in the right roles, provide clear objectives, monitor progress on key projects, and motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
· Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language and an exceptional service orientation.

Remote Work Expectations
Preference is given to those who live near our headquarters in Englewood, CO. Harvest currently operates in a flexible, hybrid workplace model.
Compensation & Benefits
· Compensation of $180,000-$250,000 depending on experience
