Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the technology industry to hire an experienced full-time Senior Cloud Security Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for protecting the company's cloud infrastructure across multiple environments. You will design, implement, and maintain security protocols and systems, lead incident response efforts, conduct security assessments, and mentor junior team members.
What YOU Will Do
- Develop and implement robust security architectures for cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), ensuring best practices are integrated across all systems and applications.
- Manage and optimize security configurations within cloud platforms, including WAF, DDoS protection, secure DNS, identity management, and Cloudflare.
- Lead incident response efforts, including detection, containment, eradication, and recovery, while analyzing incidents to identify root causes and improvements.
- Conduct security assessments, vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and audits to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
- Oversee and maintain security monitoring tools, investigating and responding to alerts and anomalies.
- Develop, update, and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards, while conducting security awareness training for employees.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members and lead security projects, staying up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity developments.
What YOU Will Bring Us
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or a related field.
- CISSP certification required; other relevant certifications (CISM, CEH, AWS Security Specialty, etc.) are preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on security engineering, cloud security, and incident response.
- Proficiency in security tools and technologies for cloud environments, with strong knowledge of cloud security principles, network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
