Technical Oversight/ Independent V&V (Sr. Systems Engineering) to join our team in San Diego, CA!
This is a contingent position pending on contract award.
The Department of the Navy (DON), Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) is acquiring support services for the development of networks, infrastructure, data architecture, tools and. The effort is to connect sensors and generally improve networking and data capabilities. Critical is the development of networks, infrastructure, data architecture, and tools and analytics that support the operational and developmental environment that will enable sustained maritime dominance for years to come.
Salary Range: $87,000 - $130,000
Responsibilities:
- The Candidate shall develop and track Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) for each project and track and provide status reporting of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), and coordinate and integrate each program's schedule and milestones
- The Candidate shall conduct technical analysis to support milestones, schedules, and inter-dependencies on a composite, functional area, and on an individual program basis
- The Candidate shall record the achievement of each milestone and determine new schedules for missed milestones
- The Candidate shall maintain the technical management processes such as Requirements Management, Risk Management, and Configuration Management according to authority directives
- The Candidate shall provide input in the review and analysis of Acquisition Engineering documentation for programs in the RDT&E lifecycle including: System test and quality assurance plans to include TEMPs, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) plans, Software Development and Software Management Plans
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in a quantitative field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems. Additional years of experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of a formal 4 year degree
- 6 years of experience in Government related Research & Development (R&D), Test & Evaluation (T&E), and systems acquisition programs
- 4 years of relevant Systems Integration engineering experience
- Security+ Certification or equivalent
- Secret Clearance
Preferred:
- Master Degree in a quantitative field, such as Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems
- 10 years of experience in Government related Research & Development (R&D), Test & Evaluation (T&E), and systems acquisition programs
- 6 years of relevant Systems Integration engineering experience
- Top Secret Clearance
