Overview:
As a Supplier Relationship Manager at Gopuff, you will be responsible for developing and managing strategic relationships with top CPG suppliers and spearheading the vendor negotiations strategy for the greater Merchandising team. The role will focus on executing trade agreements, driving joint business planning, and optimizing supplier performance KPIs to support company objectives. This role collaborates closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including Category Management, Accounting, Finance, Advertising, and Supply Chain and external vendor partners to maximize vendor rebates and reduce cost of goods.
This is a
hybrid position (Tues-Thurs) in office in either Philadelphia or Miami area.
You Will:
- Negotiate trade agreements, oversee the contract management process flow with Category Managers, and set the strategic direction for vendor negotiations
- Establish mutually beneficial partnerships that align with company goals and drive long-term value.
- Organize and conduct regular business planning sessions with top suppliers to align on goals, strategies, and performance metrics.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives that align supplier needs and capabilities with company objectives to optimize performance.
- Calculate rebates and communicate accurate and timely reporting to Accounting and Finance
- Monitor supplier performance through key metrics and scorecards, and implement improvement plans when necessary.
- Present regular updates to senior leaders.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in supplier funding and ROI.
- Synthesize insights into actionable workstreams to support sales forecasting and strategic decision-making.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for suppliers, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure supplier strategies are aligned with business objectives.
- Lead cross-functional projects related to supplier management, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Take initiative in driving continuous improvement efforts within the supplier management function.
You Have:
- 5+ years of experience in supplier relationship management, procurement, or a related role within retail (e-comm, c-store, grocery, foodservice) or within consumer packaged goods (CPG) company.
- Proven track record in negotiating complex trade agreements and managing supplier relationships.
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply business terms effectively in contracts
- Proficient in sales forecasting and financial analysis.
- Expertise in synthesizing large data sets to develop insights and actionable strategies.
- Strong project management capabilities, with a self-starter attitude and initiative to drive results.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP) are a plus.
