Description
client is seeking an Applications Administrator III in Rosemont, IL. Summary: The Applications Administrator will be responsible for system set-up, configuration and on-going application administrator duties for banking applications. You will liaison between software vendor(s) and the company. The candidate works with employees to facilitate accurate usage of application(s); ensures compliance with bank and industry requirements; maintains issue and enhancement logs; provides troubleshooting for escalated issues; and works with management, business units and vendors to meet Service Level Agreements. Duties:
- Application Management for current and future banking applications
- Act as a mentor and provide assistance to junior members of the team
- Application Configuration/Set-Up including business rules, process flow/rules, data translation, product definition/maintenance, rate updates, import of external data, and configuration documentation
- Adept at problem solving; able to respond to unforeseen events that can have a direct impact on services to users
- Uses logic, reasoning, and good judgment to independently identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, approaches or conclusions to complex problems/situations
- Daily application/system administration including data mapping, field mapping, compliance updates, product and pricing updates/changes, and monitoring
- Perform routine maintenance of database information and system workflow to ensure optimal system performance
- Deliver on the job training to new application administrators
- Provide end-user application support including change/enhancement requests, project creation and ownership, configuration fixes, product additions/deletions/corrections, business rule/process questions/answers/troubleshooting, product and field level knowledge and support for other processes, accept reporting requests, and escalation to internal or external vendors
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a technology or financial related field
- 5+ years of System Admin experience required
- Experience with administration of loan origination and other banking systems
- Experience in process discovery, implementation and management
- Initiative and ability to build relationships with system stakeholders
- Excellent organizational, data gathering, documentation and follow-up skills
- Advanced computer skills, including experience with banking systems: Excel, Word, Visio and other software
- Proven track record in meeting deadlines, quickly and accurately troubleshooting issues, problem-solving and communicating with other business units
- Needs to be a highly motivated, articulate and able to work independently with high speed of execution with attention to detail; Makes timely decisions
- Position may require the need to travel to other branch or meeting locations
