Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary and dynamic Director of Innovation to lead our efforts in pioneering new strategies, technologies, and products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving our innovation agenda, fostering a culture of creativity and experimentation, and identifying opportunities for growth and improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement the company's innovation strategy aligned with our business goals and market opportunities. Identify and prioritize areas for innovation based on market research and competitive analysis.
- Leadership: Lead a cross-functional team of innovators, researchers, and developers. Inspire and mentor team members to foster a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Innovation Management: Oversee the lifecycle of innovation projects from ideation to execution. Manage project portfolios, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Research & Development: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices. Drive research initiatives to explore new technologies and methodologies that can enhance our products and services.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry experts, to gather insights and feedback. Build relationships to facilitate the adoption of innovative solutions.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of innovation initiatives. Analyze data and report on the impact of innovation efforts on business performance.
- Budget Management: Develop and manage the budget for innovation projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
Qualifications - Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD) is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in innovation, R&D, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven track record of successful innovation initiatives and project management.
