Windows System Administrator in Austin. You will provide daily operations maintenance and support for highly reliable systems, under moderate supervision, using broad skills and current knowledge of information technology systems
Qualifications/Requirements
- 2-3 years of experience
- Customer-service oriented with a problem-solving attitude
- Ability to perform basic Windows network administration (DNS, WINS, DHCP)
- Knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy & ability to troubleshoot
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing, in meetings, working groups and project reviews with representatives at all levels of organizations
- Solid technical background with an ability to give instructions to a non-technical audience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage user account creation and termination + user permissions
- Collaborate with the IT helpdesk to resolve user issues in a timely manner
- Install new server hardware and software per documented or directed standardized
- Document tasks, perform and develop procedures documentation for new tasks
- Build, configure, and troubleshoot software and hardware enhancements, application deployments and infrastructure up-grades
- Troubleshoot basic desktop environmental issues
- Provide technical support to end-users by troubleshooting hardware and software problems
- Support Office365 desktop software
- Conduct patching of desktops, servers, and IT infrastructure
- Troubleshoot network related issues & work with network team to resolve issues
- Report IT status to government & program managers
- Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for client/server/storage/network devices
- Provides support for implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems
- Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
- Utilize remote access technologies to troubleshoot user problems
