We are looking for a Network Engineer for a large, global B2B high-tech company. You will work with various network engineering, architecture, design, and implementation teams in this role.
This is a 40-hour-per-week, 11-month contract (possibility of extensions). This is an on-site role in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities
- Plans security systems by evaluating network and security technologies; developing requirements for local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), routers, and firewalls.
Requirement - Advanced knowledge of and experience with networking and network protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, routing, Inflobox, DNS, DDNS, DHCP, F5 LTM, SSH, VPNs), IP routing protocols including RIP, BGP, OSPF, IP Multicast, MPLS.
- Thorough understanding of modern service providers, and TCP/IP data networks using standards and technologies including but not limited to Ethernet, OSPF, IGMP, STP, RSTP, 802.1q, 802.11n, and 802.11ac.
- Experience with Policy Based Routing, Quality of Service, netflow, Wireless 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, virtual networks, NAT, ACL controls, Web Security/URL Filtering, IPSec, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), and Malware Prevention.
- IPv4 and IPv6 experience is a must.
- Experience with architecture, installation and management of inbound / outbound proxy, and network VPN services.
- Knowledge, skills and experience with HPE Aruba routing, switching, and wireless hardware, software and protocols including Aruba Mobility Controllers, Aruba Instant Aps, Aruba Airwave, Aruba Central, Aruba Activate, Security, Aruba ClearPass.
- Expert knowledge of Internet proxy, inbound and outbound proxy services, F5 LTM and GTM, and VPN services.
- Experience with SDN, SD-WAN products and services, Working knowledge of structured cabling systems and network facilities.
- Experience in Palo Alto, Fortinet, Checkpoint and Juniper firewall management and network security including Device Hardening, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Firewalls, IPSec, vulnerability assessment and intrusion detection.
- Strong WAN experience managing global network infrastructure

Compensation: $40/hr. - $48.12/hr.
