Position Summary
The IT Manager is responsible for leading a team in end-to-end lifecycle management of an assigned IT Portfolio capability. Accountable for planning, delivery and operation of services, products, and processes, as well as people leadership and vendor management. They continuously innovate their product or service and contribute to achieving IT and Enterprise Strategies and KPIs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Leadership: Lead and manage the performance and development of staff. Lead priorities and manage work performance of staff, vendors, and contractors. Provide leadership as needed across multiple sites, and in alignment with Union or other contracts.
- Relationship Management: Understand the customers' needs, and partner to deliver innovative solutions. Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, Enterprise Security, Audit/Compliance, and other internal groups to drive results.
- Product Management: Ensure products and services operate in a lean, stable, and adaptable manner. Ensure product delivery and operation are cost effective and within budget.
- Operations Management: Drive ongoing improvements in IT operational performance. Proactively prevent, and support prompt restoration of service disruptions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in technology, Science, Business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position
- Excellent communication skills, effective with varying organizational levels and skill sets.
- Excellent Relationship Management and collaboration skills, with a track record of working as one team cross-organizationally to drive innovation and business results.
- Five years of prior people leadership experience
- Ten years of experience with end-to-end service lifecycle, business process, project, or product management
- Experience with strategic planning, portfolio prioritization, delivery execution, and operations
- Experience working within a regulated industry.
- Ability to deliver value in compliance with policies and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a customer focus, problem solve, and drive continuous improvement to solutions, systems, and processes.
- Demonstrated ability to drive, adopt, and lead others through change in a diverse and dynamic environment.
- Exposure to Sourcing and Contract Management practices
- Proven ability to attain and hold in-depth acumen in business process, technical knowledge, and architectural topology.
Preferred Qualifications
- Quality Control: Demonstrated experience providing and deploying high quality infrastructure/network solutions. This includes the process, people, tools and architecture to leverage a non-product ecosystem to validate proposed production changes.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional ability to build rapport with key stakeholders and leaders, advocating for the execution of the strategic roadmap and ensuring alignment with the direction of the product owners. This role will also need to align to the leaders of the engineering organizations to ensure that engineers can deliver detailed designs based upon the architecture.
- Business Acumen: Strong capability in constructing business cases that clearly articulate the objective value measurements of infrastructure and network enhancements.
- Operationalization Expertise: Skilled in the operationalization of technology, ensuring that new technologies are seamlessly integrated into existing systems and processes for maximum efficiency and impact. This would also include ensuring Observability and Monitoring are key components of our architecture.
- Strategic Planning & Execution: 3+ years demonstrable experience in developing and executing strategic technology roadmaps, with a focus on resilience and operational excellence / efficiencies. Has led or played a key role in transformational activities involving Cloud, Datacenter, Network, and End User Computing.
- Utility Industry Experience: 3+ years’ experience in IT and OT, preferably within an integrated utility and regulatory business environment, showcasing a sound understanding of core business processes and IT ecosystems.
- Operational Technology: 3+ years’ experience with Operational Technology (OT) - and demonstrable experience navigating the differences between the OT and IT technical eco-systems.
- Regulatory: 3+ years’ experience with fulfilling regulatory compliance requirements such as those from NERC/CIP, PHMSA and TSA.
- SCADA: 3+ years working with Scada systems, protocols, data, network, support and operating challenges.
- Management: 3+ Years experience leading a team of network and infrastructure architects in both the IT and OT space.
- Value-Lead Orientation: A proven commitment to driving initiatives and technology solutions that deliver measurable business value, with an emphasis on cost-effectiveness and return on investment.
- Innovative Technology: Demonstrated experience with emerging technologies such as cloud, containerization and observability, with a clear understanding of their impact on business strategy. Examples of innovative solutions or programs initiated, championed, or implemented a plus.
- Leadership: A history of leading high-performing teams with a player/coach mentality, emphasizing empowerment and team development.

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $105,600.00 to $150,000.00 per year
