Responsibilities:
- The Network Security/Firewall engineer will be responsible for the design, administration, and management of Palo Alto and FortiGate Firewalls using Centralized Panorama and FortiManger.
- Will be tasked with the following
- Firewall Rules clean up, Firewall Optimization(NATs, Policies and Routing).
- Identify gaps in network infrastructure security, working with internal teams on timely remediation and recommending future improvements.
- Assist in the design and development of network implementations.
- Responsible for maintaining a resilient and secure firewall infrastructure, utilizing Palo Alto and Fortinet hardware.
- Create and conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance with security policies and industry standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience working with Palo Alto Networks products and FortiGate’s.
- Strong understanding of network security concepts, protocols, and technologies.
- Hands-on experience with firewall administration, VPN technologies, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing and Switching protocols etc.).
- Familiarity with FIREMON environments is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
