Job Title: Head of Risk
Job Overview
As the Head of Risk, you will lead the risk management framework and strategies across the organization, ensuring the company proactively identifies, assesses, and mitigates potential financial, operational, and compliance risks. You will collaborate with senior leadership to develop risk policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, while driving a risk-aware culture within the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the company’s overall risk management framework and strategies.
- Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts for financial, operational, and compliance risks.
- Collaborate with executive teams to align risk management with business objectives.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and manage relationships with auditors and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct risk assessments for new products, services, and processes.
- Oversee risk reporting and present findings to senior management and the board.
- Lead the risk management team, providing guidance and mentoring.
- Monitor and report on emerging risks in the market or industry.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Risk Management, Finance, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in risk management, with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
- Experience in risk assessment tools and techniques.
- Certifications in risk management (e.g., FRM, PRM) are a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 annually, based on experience.
