Job Title: Senior Risk Management Director
Job Overview: The Senior Risk Management Director will oversee and refine the organization’s risk management framework, ensuring robust strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks. This role requires a high level of expertise in risk management, strategic thinking, and leadership to safeguard the organization's assets and ensure operational resilience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and drive the organization’s risk management strategy, policies, and procedures to address current and emerging risks.
- Lead comprehensive risk assessments, including enterprise risk evaluations, scenario analyses, and stress testing, to identify vulnerabilities and opportunities for improvement.
- Oversee the design and implementation of risk mitigation strategies and ensure effective risk controls across all business units.
- Monitor and analyze risk trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to risk management and internal controls.
- Collaborate with senior executives and other departments to integrate risk management into strategic planning and operational processes.
- Prepare and present high-level risk management reports, including risk exposure, mitigation strategies, and recommendations, to the board and senior management.
- Lead and mentor a team of risk management professionals, fostering a proactive and risk-aware culture within the organization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12-15 years of experience in risk management, finance, or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex and high-impact risk scenarios.
- Extensive experience in developing and executing risk management strategies, frameworks, and controls.
- Deep understanding of risk management frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage and develop a high-performing team of risk management professionals.
