We are seeking a visionary Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our team and lead our technological efforts. We bring patents; decades of combined experience, relationships with blue-ocean Tier-1 VCs, access to enterprise customers seeking this specific solution and are now assembling our founding team prior to fund raising and product building.
About You: You are a data expert, system architect and developer excited to solve the sensitive data access problem and accelerating the AI revolution. You are excited to design the blueprint of a new tech product category: trustless, distributed, combinatorial data engines required to virtually commingle sensitive private data sets to train AI. You have the time, passion and independence to join a pioneering team and work with leading VCs ready to accelerate AI innovation globally.
About the Role: As the Co-Founder & Chief Technical Officer you will be part of a groundbreaking company that will change the axis of rotation in the AI world. Prior to funding, you will be principally focused on blueprinting the design of a new product category based on active patents and communicating technical concepts to investors and customers. We see this as a part-time (25%) role you can perform while employed elsewhere for a period of no more than six months during fund-raising.
Post funding, your key responsibilities will include:
- Defining technical strategy and architecture
- Seeing around corners to ensure we maintain competitive advantage
- Creating a team of builders and innovators and providing technical leadership
- Fostering a culture of rapid technical innovation, creativity and experimentation
- Imposing rigor, disambiguating complexity and driving agile methods
- Collaborating with the others on the executive team to align technical vision with business opportunities
- Pushing the boundaries of what is possible in the nexus of data and AI
- Lead the product development and management of a new type of cloud offering with elastic scalability
Your Experience:
- You have a great sense of humor, probably some scars from prior tech battles. You are both very smart and humble.
- You have proven experience building cloud-scale data management or processing systems subject to serious data privacy and security regulatory compliance requirements.
- You have deep technical expertise in the current methods in use that our innovations will supplant; including secure enclaves, homomorphic encryption, and Private Join and Compute functionality
- You are intimately familiar with modern database design and architecture and can bend ABAC and RBAC to your will.
- You have worked with VCs, understand their idiosyncrasies and can maintain your heading, course and speed regardless of the waves they drive your way.
- You definitely have a masters degree, possibly a PhD and may have even braved the faculty halls of a world class university.
- You are a veteran, not a rookie, and you know the world of startups very intimately.
- You hate “blame culture”, embody a can-do-spirit and have the need for speed.
